A brake controller does not have to be tied into the computer on your 2007 International 4200. Before you do anything else you will want to see if there is a brake switch above the brake pedal. If there is, then use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the wires. You are looking for one that only has power when you step on the brake pedal. If it has power with the head lights or turn signals on it is not the correct wire. A lot of vehicles with air brakes do not have this wire which connects to the brake controller red wire.
